Moonfam, sometimes the greatest wisdom comes not from books or conversations, but from simply stepping outside and listening. The earth is always speaking. The wind carries whispers of remembrance, and the water reflects the truths we hold deep within. In a world full of distractions, reconnecting with nature is how I return home—to myself, my spirit, and my center.
Listening to the Earth’s Language
Every element of the natural world speaks a sacred language. The trees hum with presence, holding steady no matter the season. When I sit beneath their branches or press my palms to their trunks, I feel held. It’s more than peace—it’s an energetic exchange, a reminder that I can draw strength from their stillness. We are constantly in conversation with the earth, even if we don’t always realize it.
Back when I lived on the island, I used to visit a conservation center just to sit, watch, and be with nature. Sometimes I’d smoke, but mostly I’d just be still, absorbing everything. The breeze, the silence, the subtle movements—it was a place where I could feel the earth speaking in real time.
Reflect: When was the last time you allowed the earth to speak to you? What did you hear in the silence?
Sensing What’s Beyond Sight
Since I was a child, I’ve felt energies beyond the physical. I’d hear things others didn’t, sense emotions lingering in a room, or feel the presence of someone no longer living. It used to feel like a burden, but now I see it as a gift—one that comes alive even more when I’m in natural spaces. The veil feels thinner there. Birds, wind, and even shadows seem to carry messages from spirit. Nature helps me attune to realms we often overlook.
When our loved ones cross over, I believe many of them become spirit guides. My great-grandmother and my birth mother both watch over me now. With my mother, our relationship has deepened spiritually in a way that we couldn’t quite achieve in the physical. There’s love, understanding, and guidance now that flows more freely from the other side.
Water: Our First Home
We are born in water—cradled in the fluid sanctuary of the womb. It’s no coincidence that we feel most at ease near it. Water mirrors our emotions. It can rage, ripple, or rest, just like we do. For me, sitting near the ocean or soaking in a bath is more than self-care—it’s a cleansing. The tension, the thoughts, the energetic weight—it all gets washed away.
Water becomes even more powerful when we add intention. Spiritual baths, with herbs, salt, oils, and affirmations, have been a part of my healing rituals. Intention plus water clears not only the physical body but also the emotional and energetic fields. In those moments, I remember that softness isn’t weakness. Water is both gentle and powerful.
Reflect: What does your emotional body need to release right now? How can you honor it with softness?
Seeing Through the Third Eye
Opening my third eye wasn’t a sudden awakening—it was a gradual unfolding. For years, it was blocked by fear, self-doubt, and the energies of others that I hadn’t learned to shield myself from. Being an empath means I absorb what’s around me—moods, emotions, unspoken feelings. If I’m not careful, it can lead to fatigue, confusion, anxiety, and even physical pain. Not protecting your energy can blur the lines between what’s yours and what you’ve picked up from others.
In previous blogs, I’ve shared some of the ways I protect myself: grounding practices, energetic shielding, using crystals, daily cleansing, and staying spiritually hydrated. Once I started incorporating those tools consistently, meditating, and returning to nature, the fog began to lift. My visions sharpened, and I could see and sense more clearly—not just with my eyes, but with my inner knowing.
Reflect: Are you honoring the messages your inner voice is sharing? What practices help you see beyond the surface?
Flowing with Nature’s Rhythm
Nature teaches us how to flow. It doesn’t resist—it transforms. A stream doesn’t fight the rocks; it moves around them. The moon doesn’t rush its phases; it embraces each cycle fully. The more I align myself with this natural rhythm, the more whole I feel. I don’t need to control everything. I just need to allow.
Reflect: Where are you being invited to flow more and force less?
Moonfam, we carry the elements within us. Earth grounds us, water cleanses us, air brings clarity, and fire fuels transformation. When we nurture our bond with nature, we return to balance. We reconnect with who we truly are—soulful, intuitive, and divine.
Take time this week to walk barefoot on the grass, listen to the birdsong, or simply breathe with intention under the sky. The messages will come. You already know the way back.
With love and light,
Jojo
