The Spiritual Awakening No One Talks About—But You’re Not Alone

There was a time when I thought my world was crumbling, but in hindsight, it was being rebuilt. Right before Covid, I experienced what many in the spiritual community call a tower moment—a period of intense upheaval that forces everything in your life to collapse so you can rebuild on a stronger foundation. In Tarot, the Tower card represents sudden destruction, but also transformation. For those unfamiliar with spiritual awakenings, they often begin with a profound shake-up—something that pulls the rug from beneath you, leaving you questioning everything. It’s not just a rough patch; it’s a dissolution of the identity you once clung to, a stripping away of the illusions that kept you comfortable.

I entered severe hermit mode. It wasn’t just solitude; it was a necessary descent into my inner world. The distractions were gone, the noise had faded, and all I had left was myself—my thoughts, my fears, my wounds. And yet, in that silence, I began to hear something I never had before: my intuition.

The collective was struggling during that time, yet I felt as though I was emerging from a cocoon, stepping into a version of myself that had always been there, waiting. Like a butterfly finally stretching its wings, amidst the turmoil of the Covid-19 era, I found myself stepping into a newfound sense of purpose and clarity. But the journey didn’t end there. There was still much work to be done.

Even as I moved forward, I carried insecurities, childhood wounds, and deeply ingrained fears that needed to be acknowledged and healed before I could truly embrace my path. Awakening wasn’t just about seeing the light—it was about confronting the shadows. It was about understanding that my wounds weren’t here to break me; they were here to teach me. To be reborn meant releasing what was no longer serving me, peeling away layers of self-doubt, and recognizing that my pain could be transformed into wisdom and strength.

Not everyone experiences a spiritual awakening in this way, and I don’t believe there’s a single roadmap to it. But for those who feel they are in the midst of something similar—questioning everything, feeling like they’re dissolving and re-emerging as someone new—you are not alone.

Signs You May Be Experiencing a Spiritual Awakening

• A deep sense of disconnection from your old life, habits, and even certain people

• Heightened intuition and a stronger connection to your inner voice

• Emotional purging—releasing old wounds and patterns that no longer align

• Increased synchronicities and signs from the universe guiding you

• A realization that the world is far more expansive and interconnected than you once believed

If you are in the midst of a spiritual awakening or feel like you are on the verge of one, take a moment to reflect: What parts of your life feel like they are shifting or dissolving? Are there old habits, relationships, or beliefs that no longer align with the person you are becoming? Journal about any recent signs, synchronicities, or intuitive nudges you’ve experienced—what might they be trying to tell you?

Harnessing the power of both intuition and intellect allows us to bring greater clarity into our lives. We are meant to integrate our past experiences—not erase them. Every challenge, heartbreak, and struggle holds a piece of the puzzle, shaping us into who we are becoming. Healing is not about denying what hurt us, but about recognizing that we have the power to shift our relationship with those wounds. Instead of seeing them as limitations, we can transform them into sources of strength, resilience, and inspiration. Our wounds and traumas are not here to define us; they are invitations to grow.

I have the power to embrace my wounds, transform my pain, and inspire others on their healing journey.

And so do you.

This time in your life offers an opportunity to reframe how you see yourself, your past, and your future. It’s a crossroads—between becoming a robot of societal expectations or embracing the Christ consciousness that is embedded in each of us. We are not meant to numb ourselves into autopilot, merely surviving. We are here to awaken, to see beyond the veil, and to live with awareness.

In my previous reflections on duality (Alchemy of the Soul: Transforming Energy and Accepting Duality), I wrote about my initial understanding of duality as a law—something that made sense of the world by dividing it into opposites. But as my journey deepened, I realized the purpose of duality wasn’t to force us to choose one side or another. It wasn’t about eliminating darkness in favor of light or rejecting pain to chase happiness. Instead, it was about learning to navigate both, to understand what each side teaches us.

True wisdom comes not from rejecting duality but from integrating it. It’s about seeing the wholeness within contrast—knowing that without struggle, we wouldn’t recognize ease; without loss, we wouldn’t understand the depth of love; without uncertainty, we wouldn’t learn to trust. My mistake was trying to force a sense of order onto something that is meant to be observed, not controlled. Now, I see duality not as a rule to abide by, but as a rhythm to dance with—guiding me to deeper awareness, growth, and alignment with my higher self.

Duality exists in all of us—the light and dark, the seen and unseen, the parts we embrace and the parts we avoid. Instead of resisting one side, what if you honored both? Think about a part of yourself that you struggle to accept. Is it impatience? Fear? Self-doubt? Instead of rejecting it, ask yourself: What has this part of me tried to teach or protect me from? How can I shift my relationship with it to find balance rather than opposition?

If you are navigating your own awakening, trust that you are not lost. Your soul knows the way. Your dreams, your intuition, the synchronicities you encounter—they are all forms of communication, whispers from your higher self reminding you that you are on the right path. Every challenge, every lesson, and every transformation is leading you toward a deeper understanding of who you are meant to be.

So as you move forward, take a moment to reflect:

How can you use your own healing journey to inspire and uplift others?

What limiting beliefs or self-doubt are still holding you back from fully stepping into your power?

How can you shift your perspective to see your wounds as sources of strength rather than limitations?

The world needs your light—not just the polished, perfected version, but the raw, real, and fully integrated you.

You are both the storm and the calm, the student and the teacher, the wounded and the healer. And in that balance, you find your true power.

With love and light,

Jojo
