Think back on your most memorable road trip.

My most memorable road trip started during the pandemic. It was actually a really big deal for me because I was trying to decide what to do with my life after a rough time living on a very small island. I happen to make it to my parent’s house, right before the island ferry stopped working because of the shut down. My boyfriend stayed so we were separated for months. So after saving money up we decided to move across country in May of 2020. The fear of Covid should have stopped us, but we were determined to just start over, and it took us 72 hours to get to the west coast. Before leaving, I got to say bye to family and even rekindled my relationship with my best friend. It was me, my boyfriend and his friend (who so kindly help with the drive) and my dog. We stuffed our belongings in the trunk of the rental and left on Memorial Day. The rental was a Lincoln Navigator a newer model and it felt like we were gliding our way across America. The seats were comfortable and we did take breaks here and there for my dog. She got to step foot in a lot of states she had never been to. I’ve been here, on the west coast ever since, but I do think from time to time of taking my family on another trip across by car.
